Local High School Coaches Become Certified in Concussion Reduction Training

Coaches from West Seneca East Senior High School are the first from a Western New York school to become certified in Primordial Strength Inc.’s Concussion Reduction Basic Neck Training as part of their football strength training certification, according to Primordial President Steven Helmicki. Concussion certification and explosive power endurance certification is available for all sports and can be taught in your school.

Helmicki, a resident of East Aurora, founded Primordial Strength in 2007 and is focused on training coaches, athletes and teams across Western New York on all levels, teaching them what he has learned over the course of a lifetime. Primordial Strength is a leader in the anti-concussion movement, specializing in neck and trapezius training.

From 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, December 11, Primordial Strength Inc. will conduct a Concussion Reduction Seminar at the Lancaster Elks Lodge, 33 Legion Parkway. The cost is $40, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the annual Trench Trophy Award event. The trophy is presented annually to Western New York’s high school “Lineman of the Year.”
