CLARENCE, N.Y. - Rep. Chris Lee, R-Amherst, Erie County, has been named a co-chairman of the bipartisan Congressional Dairy Farmers Caucus.

Lee’s district is the 22nd highest dairy-producing district in the country, with a market value near $500 million, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The caucus works with the Agriculture Department on issues affecting dairy farmers.

The 26th District includes parts of Monroe, Erie, Niagara and Orleans counties and all of Genesee, Wyoming and Livingston counties.
