Youthful Bulls Looking For Big Year

A year ago the UB Bulls won 18 games. This season they are much younger so new leadership will have to emerge if the Bulls are improve on last year's win total.

Two huge keys for the Bulls this season will be juniors Titus Robinson and Mitchell Watt. In their first two season's there were more upperclassmen around to provide the leadership they are expect to provide this season. Head coach Reggie Witherspoon told Stu Boyar that Robinson and Watt are enjoying "not having to defer" to older players as the Bulls opened practice this weekend.

Robinson told Stu that the younger players are picking things up really fast. Robinson and Watt know there is pressure when at times they'll be expected to put the young team on their backs and carry it. "There is a little bit of both, the pressure that goes with being a leader, and the challenge of it too" Watt told Stu.

Along with Robinson and Watt seniors Brian Mulkey and Jawaan Alston are expected to carry the load for the Bulls.

5 freshman and a sophomore join Reggie Witherspoon's team thsi season. Witherspoon begins his 12th season on the Bulls bench.

The Bulls open the season at home Saturday November 13 against Navy. TIpoff is scheduled for 12 noon. UB plays at Canisius on Tuesday November 23rd. UB has a huge week early in December. They are at St. Bonaventure on Saturday December 4th and home against Niagara on Wednesday December 8th.
