Dog Ears Bookstore & Café has announced that a second artist, Barbara Fox, will have work featured during an art show from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. The work of artist Fred Fielding will also be featured at the event. The bookstore is located at 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo.

The public is invited to attend the event, which will also feature music by DKM2 featuring David Kane and Michael Miskuly.

Fox is a painter recognized for watercolor and oil mediums featuring still life, landscape and floral subjects. Her meticulously crafted paintings are exhibited and collected internationally, have received numerous awards, and have been selected for publication in fine art books and magazines.

Her paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States, including the Phillips Museum of Art in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos, New Mexico; Salmagundi Club in New York City; and The Neville Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and the International Guild of Realism, among others. Please visit www.barbarafoxartstudio.com for more information.

Fielding, a practicing dentist with Southtowns Dental and a self-taught artist from a family of artists, has been awarded signature status with the Pastel Artists of Canada. To view examples of his work, please visit www.fredfieldingfineart.com.

“My mother introduced me to pastels when I was young and I have been using them ever since,” Fielding said. “Most of my work is done on sanded paper mounted on foamcore board with an under painting of watermedia or oil. I enjoy observing the landscape and interpreting its moods through composition, value and color.”

Light refreshments will be provided during the event. For more information on the nonprofit community bookstore, please call 823-2665, visit www.dogearsbookstore.org or follow Dog Ears on Facebook for frequent updates.
