Roycrofters-At-Large Winter Festival to Feature Juried Artisans From Near and Far

Thirty-five juried artisans from as near as East Aurora to as far as California, Wisconsin and Michigan will come together from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 for the 40th anniversary Roycroft Winter Festival! This highly anticipated annual holiday event will take place in the East Aurora Middle School, located at 430 Main St. in the village.

The juried artisans, including several Roycroft Artisans and Master Artisans, will offer a wide variety of beautifully handcrafted items. Artisans taking part in the event offer everything from jewelry, wood, clay and books to metal, tile, glass, leather, pottery, sculpture and more.

The famous Roycroft “Goodie Box” will also be unveiled at the Winter Festival. Crafted by Roycroft Master Artisan Jack Bartlett, the quarter-sawn white oak jewelry box will be accompanied by handcrafted works of art from Roycroft Artisans and awarded by raffle at the Roycrofters-At-Large Association’s annual Summer Festival in June. Raffle tickets will be available during the Winter Festival and make great stocking stuffers!

Food and holiday music will also be plentiful during the festival. Admission is just $1, which will help fund future Roycrofters-At-Large Association initiatives.

“The artists selected to participate in this event are extremely talented, and we’re thrilled to have them showcase their handcrafted goods right here in Western New York,” said Roycrofters-At-Large Association coordinator Debbie Muniak. “You know you’re hosting a very special event when you have artisans from across the country applying to participate. We look forward every year to introducing these craftsmen and women to Western New York’s art-loving community.”
