Actually, the exciting and equally inviting city of London, Ontario, boasts many similarities to the Buffalo region. Maybe that’s why more and more Buffalonians are traveling to London for a quick getaway.

A Western New York favorite — Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat — is ready to take the stage at the glorious and historic Grand Theatre in nearby London, Ontario, from November 24 through January 2. It’s a perfect opportunity to get away and relax a bit during the busy holiday season!

Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this production of Joseph is directed by Susan Ferley.

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- The public is invited to share its ideas for the regional library system of the future through a series of public meetings, web surveys and focus groups; all part of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System's newly launched Re-Imagine campaign. 

"This is an exciting as well as a challenging time for the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System," said Bridget Quinn-Carey, director of the Library System.  "We are beginning a process to re-imagine the library and create a new vision that will meet the needs of the entire community; a library that will not only accommodate the types of  services that are so heavily used currently, but one that will satisfy the needs of our users for innovative services in the years ahead."

Annunciation School to Host Ice Cream Social & Book Fair

Annunciation School, 7580 Clinton St., Elma, will host an Ice Cream Social & All American Book Fair from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, in the school. The event is open to students and families. Members of the community who are interested in learning more about the school and parish are also encouraged to attend.

Books will be available for sale, as well as delicious ice cream sundaes for only $1. There will also be a pumpkin decorating contest, and children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes. Pumpkins entered in the contest should be decorated at home. If you would like to light up your pumpkin, please use a non-flammable light source.
