Fourth Annual Trims To Treasures Donates To Cancer Patients
The Interior Design Association of Western New York is proud to announce its 4th annual Trims to Treasures sale, benefiting Gilda’s Club, located at 1140 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY, 14209. The two-day sale, featuring a wide selection of interior design materials, will be open from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday, June 9, and 11AM to 3PM on Sunday, June 10.
There will be a number of valuable, interior design materials available at a fraction of their original cost, such as furniture, fabrics, wallpaper, window treatments, lighting and plumbing fixtures, artwork and home accessories. The Trims to Treasures sale will donate 20% of the proceeds to Gilda’s Club, a non-profit organization that complements medical treatment with support and care groups for cancer patients, their friends, and families.
Named after Saturday Night Live alum, Gilda Radner, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 1989, and had once said that cancer gave her “membership to an elite club I’d rather not belong to,” Gilda’s Club provides essential comfort, workshops, education and social activities for cancer patients, free of charge. Radner’s fellow comedic actor and husband, Gene Wilder, along with her cancer psychotherapist, Joanna Bull, founded the club in 1991. The first Gilda’s Club, which included a worldwide training center, opened its signature red doors in 1995, and have since provided men, women and children suffering from cancer with holistic care and wellness. Because Gilda’s Club’s services are free, they greatly depend on charitable donations and the support of dedicated volunteers, foundations and corporations.
Be sure to stop by Gilda’s Club on the corner of Delaware and West Ferry, in Buffalo, June 9th and 10th, to not only find that perfect home design item at a reduced price, but to also support a great cause by donating money to one of Buffalo’s most trusted, respected and worthwhile charities, Gilda’s Club. Let’s continue to build and strengthen our community by supporting those suffering from cancer through the 4th annual Trims to Treasures sale.
