Annunciation Students Celebrate Halloween

Students, teachers, faculty and parents enjoyed a Halloween celebration at Annunciation School in Elma today. Events included a parade throughout the building and related classroom activities.

Fourteen Pet Connection Puppies Go Up for Adoption Today

Fourteen beautiful puppies — 8 Beagle/Spaniel mixes and 6 Puggle mixes — are going up for adoption tonight (Oct. 29) at Pet Connection Programs Inc., 12935 Williston Road, Marilla. Adoption hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. Pet Connection Plans November Community Events

November is shaping up to be a very busy month for the volunteers of Pet Connection Programs Inc., a maternity and special care animal shelter located in Marilla.

On Friday, November 5, volunteers and puppies will visit one of Buffalo’s most historically significant buildings — the Larkin at Exchange Building — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers and their furry friends will also be at the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on two Saturdays, November 6 and 13. Also on November 6, volunteers will be at the flea market at the Harvey D. Morin Post on Center Road in West Seneca from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

9th Annual Fitness Frenzy Buffalo Athletic Club

This weekend will end two weeks of Fun, Fitness and Fundraising to raise money for Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo in memory of Samuel Terlecky. Many events are still ongoing at any of the eight BAC locations.   

This past February the BAC proudly contributed to the annual KISS 98.5 KISS 98.5 Radiothon to support & add success to the KISS Radiothon.

5K Race/Walk to Benefit Laura Friend

CLARENCE, N.Y. -- Laura Friend, a Clarence resident, is battling recurrent cancer and is facing large expenses for treatments without the benefit of insurance coverage.

This race is being set up solely to help with those expenses.

Date: October 30, 2010

Time: 10 AM—Noon

Starting point: 5375 Old Goodrich Road; Parking at the Church of Christ (next to Library).

The Route: Scenic loop through Clarence and Clarence Center

Prizes awarded for the best race time, and best Halloween costume!
