Buffalo Doctor at a Golf Event Hours Before Fatal Accident

On the night of July 8th the life of a young woman was cut short when she was allegedly hit and killed by a prominent WNY doctor. Alexandria Rice, 18, was on a longboard (a larger version of a skateboard), going to her father’s house from her job at a pizzeria, when she was allegedly struck by Dr. James Corasanti, 55, near 573 Heim Road in Amherst NY.

Up until now Amherst police have been very tight-lipped on the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident that took the life of Alexandria Rice. This examiner tried several times to contact the Amherst Police Department, my messages went unreturned.

Investigators are now saying they believe Dr. Corasanti was at a “martini golf” event at Transit Valley Country Club just hours before he was accused of fatally striking the teen. Police are interviewing the employees of the Transit Valley Country Club that may have been working on July 8th. The DA Frank Sedita says they are cooperating.
