Fourteen sites across Erie County will be collecting pharmaceuticals during National Prescription Drug Drop Off Day, Legislator Edward A. Rath, III announced. Residents are encouraged to drop off their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to ensure they are properly disposed of.
“I encourage all residents to check around their homes for outdated and unwanted prescriptions and drop them off at one of the several sites set up across Erie County,” Legislator Rath said. “By removing these items from the home, residents are eliminating a potentially dangerous situation.”
No questions will be asked concerning items that are dropped off. For information about the program, please visit www.NationalPrescriptionDrugDropOff.com.
