Several classes and events are planned throughout the first two months of the new year at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca.

Another Wine, Women & Art class with artist Andrea Oswald will take place Thursday evening, Jan. 16, at the gallery. Participants will create an 11x14 painting using one-stroke brush strokes as part of the composition. The fee is $25, and all supplies are included. Guests will sip a little wine, taste a few goodies, have some "girl talk" and enjoy a girl's night out! Please call to reserve your seat.

The Artist's Book Club, for members only, will gather at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, to discuss "War of Art" by Steve Pressfield.

The gallery's current exhibit, "Organic Metamorphosis" with emerging artist Lauren N. Fratantonio, remains on exhibit through Saturday, Feb. 1. Fratantonio is a mixed media artist from West Seneca; her clay artwork consists of numerous textures, shapes and compositions in amazing designs.

The opening reception for the West Seneca Art Academy Students Art Exhibit will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7. Featuring the work of high school seniors from the West Seneca high schools, this artwork will be on display through March 1.

Photos for the amateur photography contest, "In The Midst of Winter," are due by Wednesday, Feb. 5. Photographers may submit up to three mounted 8x10 photos for the application fee of $15. Applications are available on gallery’s website at www.etjgallery.com. An awards reception will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

Blessings by Nature will present “Plant Power” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Guests will learn the true meaning of herbs and plants you use every day and how an ancient tradition can help spring you out of the winter doldrums. Seating is limited, and the fee is $15. The cost of the workshop includes a Blessings by Nature sage sachet that you can create yourself!

Wine, Women & Art returns on Thursday, Feb. 20. Participants will paint two beautiful glass vases for the month of sweethearts with artist Andrea Oswald. Glass vases, paints and brushes are included in the $25 class fee. Bring a girlfriend and enjoy a fun night out!
