Catholic School Alumni Invited to 2011 All School Reunion

Alumni who attended Catholic elementary schools throughout the Diocese of Buffalo will converge on the Hearthstone Manor in Depew on September 23 for “The Spirit We Share – Reunion 2011.” Sponsored by the Catholic Alumni Partnership (CAP) of the Diocese of Buffalo, the event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Bishop Edward U. Kmiec will welcome the attendees and offer a special blessing.

This is the second annual reunion. Last year, about 250 alumni representing 85 past and present Catholic elementary schools attended the gathering.

“The reunion is a wonderful opportunity for friends to reconnect, share stories and renew acquaintances,” said Carol Kostyniak, secretary for Catholic Education for the Diocese of Buffalo. “We are looking forward to building on the success of last year’s reunion and meet even more of our graduates.”

The cost is $20 per person, $35 per couple. It includes food stations and music. A cash bar will be available. On-line registration is available through the Reunion 2011 page of the CAP website: www.buffalodiocese.org/Education/CatholicAlumniPartnership/2011Reunion.aspx.

Alumni are encouraged to reserve a few school tables and hold a mini reunion within the larger reunion. “We’ll do all the prep work. You get to spend a few hours sharing timeless memories and reconnecting with old friends,” said Karin Krasevac-Lenz, diocesan director of CAP. “We’re looking for former students, faculty, staff and friends of all of our Catholic elementary schools to join us for what is sure to be another memorable reunion!”

For event information, please contact CAP alumni coordinators Cyndi Horrigan at 847-8374 or Ginny Wallace at 847-8375.
