Vow Renewal Ceremony to Raise Funds for Relay for Life

Married couples, do you want to put your love on display while raising money to fight cancer? Just say, “I do.”

The third annual Lancaster Relay for Life will feature a non-denominational wedding vow renewal. For a $15 donation, couples will be able to take part in the ceremony and reception.

“We will have toasting plastic champagne glasses (complete with ginger ale) and wedding cake for all participating,” said Karen Berger, Lancaster High School English teacher and chairwoman of the event.

The Relay will be held June 4 and 5 on the track at the school, 1 Forton Drive. The public is invited to visit from noon to 10 p.m. June 4 to take part in the various fundraisers and support the teams. The vow renewal ceremony and reception will be held around 4 p.m. June 4 in the Survivor Tent. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Those wishing to celebrate their nuptials again must register in advance by printing the below registration form and sending it with payment to the address listed. To print the form, right click on the jpg, save it to your computer, insert it into a Word document and print.

Team captains also are reminded that the next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in room 122 of Lancaster High School.
