What is a Terrorist?

What is a Terrorist?

The term "Terrorist" likely stirs your emotions, and makes you think of a certain type of person, maybe a religion, but does it make you think of animal rights? Probably not, unless you foolishly google Peta, and think very much inside the box, the word "terrorist" doesn't often relate to the animal rights movement. Freedom and terrorist are not often two words used in the same sentence, but for some, that freedom they are fighting for makes them a terrorist.

On January 10th at 7pm Bold Native will be showing at The Screening Room at 3131 Sheridan Drive in Amherst. Tickets will be $5, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Farm Sanctuary and Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Following the film will be a skype call with writer/director Denis Henry Hennelley.

Bayonets Before Daybreak Recreates 1813 Capture of Fort Niagara

A special walking tour set for Sunday morning, December 19 will follow in the footsteps of British soldiers who captured Fort Niagara exactly 197 years ago. The tour will be led by a uniformed War of 1812 soldier who will walk participants through the daring night attack that delivered Fort Niagara from U.S. into British hands. The soldier will also give tour participants a first-hand look at Fort Niagara's American garrison, including uniforms and equipment of U.S. War of 1812 soldiers.

The tour begins at 7:00 am, just hours after the actual assault captured the Fort on the morning of December 19, 1813. Following the tour, participants will be served breakfast at the Fort Niagara Officers Club. Attendance is limited to the first twenty people who register. Cost is $18.13 per person and must be paid in advance by calling (716) 745-7611.
