WILLIAMSVILLE, NY -- It is time to “Build your Family Tree” at the Annual Family History Seminar hosted by The Buffalo Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The seminar will be held in Williamsville on Saturday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Seminar is geared toward the general public and all are welcome. No registration is required and admission & parking are free.

Halloween isn't just for kids. Pets are joining the festivities too, but it's important to keep safety in mind while you celebrate. To make Halloween a real treat for pets and ensure they stay safe and happy, here are a few tips to keep in mind:

Legislator Rath Announces Free Rabies Clinic Wednesday, Sept. 12

Erie County Legislator Edward Rath encourages pet owners to attend an upcoming free rabies clinic for dogs, cats, and ferrets. Organized by the Erie County Department of Public Health, in partnership with the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society and the SPCA, serving Erie County, the clinic is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Clarence Highway Garage, 6185 Goodrich Road, Clarence.

“Pets that receive the appropriate vaccinations help keep the entire community safer. Through this clinic, dogs, cats and ferrets can receive the rabies vaccinations, for free. Pet owners are urged to keep their pets up-to-date on vaccinations and take advantage of this free clinic if their pet is in need of the rabies vaccination,” said Legislator Rath.

Hull House to Host Revolutionary War Re-enactment

A Revolutionary War re-enactment will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, and Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Hull Family Home and Farmstead, 5976 Genesee St., Lancaster.

Battles will be at 2 p.m., and demonstrations, bayonet practices and tours of the historic home will be featured.

Admission will be $5 per adult, $2 per child between the ages of 10 and 18 and free for those younger than 10.
