Your furry pal is your best friend in the world and there's nothing you wouldn't do for him or her. In fact, many people go above and beyond for their dogs. Saudi Students Explore Global Health Issues in Daemen Program

A group of Saudi Arabian medical students are gaining a better understanding of global health issues and the U.S. health care field while also experiencing American culture through a three-week Summer Enrichment Program being held at Daemen College.

The third annual residential program, which is offered as part of a Daemen-Jazan University international education agreement, has brought 10 Saudi Arabian students to the Daemen campus to take part in this unique learning experience that started on June 9.

“This program is a tremendous opportunity for the students to learn about the U.S. health care system from a variety of highly skilled and experienced practitioners,” said Dr. Patricia Brown, vice president for enrollment management. “It also exposes them to a different culture and new experiences at Daemen and in our Western New York region.”

The arrival of spring and summer means our pets will be spending more time exploring and playing outdoors. Long walks, frolics in the yard and trips to the park are fun for dogs and owners alike, but do keep an eye on health risks, say advisers in this field.
