SANBORN, N.Y.-Clarence beat Niagara Falls 18-5 Saturday in the Class AA championship game at Niagara Wheatfield.
The Red Devils blasted six home runs in the win. Moriah Harris was three for three with three home runs and four rbi's. Alyssa Dewes had two hit including a home run and three rbi's. Tori Nappo had four hits, three doubles and a home run and she drove in three runs. Lauren Muni also homered for the Red Devils. Jill Horvath had three hits and four runs batted in. Nappo and Harris hit back to back home runs in the first inning after two were gone.
Clarence was trailing until the fifth inning when they exploded for six runs. They added three more in the sixth and six more in the seventh inning.
Head coach Todd Banasak told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "I think the girls are really excited because we made it to the Sectional finals last year and got beat late. We're doing a really good job of taking it one game at time."
Clarence will play a team from Section 5 in the Far West Regionals Tuesday at Niagara Falls.
