Amy's Place Patron Donations Used to Adopt Two Turkeys!

This year start a new tradition, with donations from Amy's Place two turkeys, so far, have been adopted through Farm Sanctuary's "Turkey Express Adoption Event." For $30 you can adopt any one of six turkeys available for the event. You can also sponsor a turkey for a small monthly donation, and there are many turkeys to choose from should you decide to do that. You can sponsor any animal on the farm, in fact, and in doing so, you can schedule special tours just to meet and enjoy that animals company. I just returned from a volunteer party at the shelter, and was thrilled to spend extra time with both Brooklyn, an older goat, rescued after being found wandering the streets in, you guessed it, Brooklyn NY.

Clarence 35-Lockport 0

Clarence beat Lockport 35-0 in a quarterfinal playoff Friday night at Clarence.

Clarence exploded for 21 second half points after leading 14 to 0 at halftime.

The Red Devils scored on their opening posession driving downfield without throwing a pass. # 26 Michael Gelz ran it in from ten yards out and Clarence was off and running. Gelz ran 20 times for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns.

In the second quarter # 22 Cooper Wittig scored from 4 yards out and Clarence had a two touchdown lead going  into the locker room at halftime. Wittig rushed 15 times for 148 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively # 70 Jacob Matteson led Clarence with 7 tackles and a sack.

The Accidental Candidate for Congress

GREECE, N.Y. - Freshman Rep. Chris Lee from the Buffalo suburb of Clarence is the New York version of a safe Republican member of Congress.

Lee is facing only token opposition from Democrat Phil Fedele of the Rochester suburb of Greece, who is not actively campaigning in the race for the state's 26th Congressional District seat.

Lee credits his outreach to constituents with helping him to avoid becoming a target for Democrats.

He's also shied away from partisanship. He follows the Republican line on important policy issues without attacking his Democratic colleagues.
