Two Families Settle In Flight 3407 Crash

BUFFALO, NY - The families of Darren Tolsma and John Roberts III reached a settlement with the airlines involved in the crash of Flight 3407.

Wrongful death lawsuits were filed in Federal Court after the plane crashed last year in Clarence Center, killing all 49 people aboard and one person on the ground.

The settlement was confirmed by a spokesman for Pinnacle Airlines. Joe Williams, spokesman for the airline sent a statement to 2 On Your Side. "We can confirm the settlements in the Roberts and Tolsma cases and are pleased that these cases have been amicably resolved."

In the lawsuits, both families claimed that the airlines and their employees including the pilots were reckless and caused the crash.

The terms of the settlement are sealed.
