Buffalo Seminary is proud to present The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare as its 2013 Marion McNulty Dillon ’22 Theatre Production. The play will be performed by an all-female cast in the Margaret L. Wendt '03 Performing Arts Center at Sem, located at 205 Bidwell Parkway, Buffalo, from March 7-9, 2013.

Valentines for Veterans Delivery to Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station

Erie County Legislator Edward Rath delivered hundreds of valentines to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station today, Valentine's Day, through his 3rd annual Valentines for Veterans program. The cards were made by students at Clarence Center Elementary, Country Parkway Elementary, Harris Hill Elementary, St. Gregory the Great School and Nativity of Mary School. 

Cards will be sent overseas, thanking soldiers for their service and reminding them they are appreciated back home on Valentine's Day, and every day.

Handmade Valentine’s Day cards were delivered to local veterans thanks to students at schools located throughout Erie County – District 10. Legislator Joseph Lorigo, who represents the 10thDistrict, visited several of the schools recently to recognize the students for participating in his second annual Valentines for Veterans program, which honors members of the military for their service.

New President Begins Tenure at Daemen Today

Dr. Gary A. Olson, a noted scholar of rhetoric, writing, and culture, will begin his term as the sixth president of Daemen College February 1. Olson succeeds Daemen’s fifth president, Dr. Edwin Clausen.

From 2009-2011 Olson served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Idaho State University. A multi-campus, Carnegie Foundation “Research High” doctoral university, Idaho State serves as the state’s principal university promoting education in the health care professions and related sciences. Olson oversaw seven colleges, ISU’s libraries, and the Idaho Museum of Natural History.

‘Luck & Laughs’ to Benefit Annunciation School

‘Luck & Laughs’ to Benefit Annunciation School

Tickets are selling fast for “Luck & Laughs,” a themed dinner buffet and comedy night taking place on Saturday, March 16, at Michael’s Banquet Facility, 4885 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg. The event, to benefit Annunciation School in Elma, will feature Eclectic Improv, Buffalo’s top reviewed comedy show!

Dinner will include corned beef, roast turkey and stuffing, roast pork loin, pasta, steamed vegetables, salads and dessert, plus a three-hour beer, wine and soda bar.
