Mary Queen of Angels School Adds New Classroom Technology

Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School continues to make improvements over the summer months, including the installation of new SMARTBoards in four classrooms.  Additionally, improvements are being made to the school’s existing computer lab, with a major announcement expected in the coming weeks.

Annunciation’s Class of 2012 Earns Over $90,000 in Scholarship Money

The nine graduating eighth grade students making up the Class of 2012 at Annunciation School in Elma have earned a collective $91,050 in scholarship money to attend local Catholic and private high schools beginning in the 2012-13 school year.

The scholarship money has been offered by St. Mary’s High School, Nichols School, Buffalo Seminary and Sacred Heart Academy.

Mary Queen of Angels Receives Grant From Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame

Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga was recently named a recipient of a 2012 Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF) grant. The grant will be used to purchase new cheerleading uniforms for the 2012-13 school year. 

The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Amateur Sports Development Fund has been assisting area groups since 1993 when it originally provided support to the World University Games. A portion of the proceeds from the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Annual Induction Dinner held each fall is endowed to the ASDF for disbursement. Funds are awarded to amateur athletes, teams and organizations seeking financial assistance to foster the pursuit of a higher level of athletic achievement.

Annunciation School Receives Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Grant

Annunciation School in Elma was recently named a recipient of a 2012 Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame Amateur Sports Development Fund (ASDF) grant. The grant was used to introduce a new soccer team at the school, located at 7580 Clinton St.

This is the second year in a row that the school has received a grant from the ASDF. Annunciation used last year’s grant to offer a new softball program.

First grade students at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga are studying the life cycle of butterflies and were able to witness the transformation from caterpillar to adult butterfly right in their classroom. Annunciation has Youth Programs for Summer and Beyond

Annunciation School in Elma, a growing Catholic elementary school serving children from Pre-K3 through Grade 8, has programs to entertain and educate children this summer and beyond!

Annunciation’s annual KinderKamp program, designed to help ease entry into a formal school setting through creative learning experiences, will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon June 11-15. This unique program is open to students preparing to enter kindergarten at any school. Activities offered at KinderKamp include letter and number recognition, story comprehension, art, fun and games.
